Saudi National Day 2025 will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 23, marking the 95th anniversary of the Kingdom’s unification. Saudi National Day is celebrated every year to mark the historic unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This celebration is observed on the first day of Libra according to the Solar Hijri calendar, which falls on September 23 in the Gregorian calendar. As this day is one of the most important historical days in the KSA’s history, it is a public holiday for everyone in the country.

Saudi Arabia’s MHRSD officially announced that September 23 will be a public holiday for all employees in the government and private sector, as the nation will celebrate its 95th National Day. The national day in KSA honors the unification of the country in 1932 by King Abdulaziz Al Saud, and its celebrations feature displays of national pride, cultural programs, fireworks, and others.

History of Saudi Arabia’s National Day

In 1902. King Abdulaziz had conquered Riyadh, and later he captured al-Hasa in 1913. After his victory over Sharif Hussein’s forces in 1925, he united both Nejd and Hejaz. He proposed changing the unified kingdoms of Hejaz and Nejd to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Not only was this proposal supported by all leaders in the governing authorities, but it also got support through telegrams sent from across the nation. After this, in 1932, a Royal Decree No. 2716 officially declared the first day of Libra as the day of KSA’s unification.
